The Concept
Rustic Design
Clay chimineas make a great addition to nearly any backyard patio, especially if you’re looking for a bit of southwestern flair to spice up your decor. It’s easy to fall in love with the rustic-inspired design of the Sun Face, and this classic clay chiminea looks absolutely spectacular. Plus, thanks to the neutral stone-grey shade, it blends in with nearly any patio decor.

Handmade, eco-friendly and made to order
Every Sparkle Stone piece is born on the potter’s wheel from 100% natural clay, with no industrial moulds — which is why no two chimineas are alike. We work to order and personalise: you choose the ornament colours, and we shape, fire and hand-paint each piece in our workshop.
We believe in eco-friendly, durable objects with a story: natural materials, recyclable packaging and a craft that honours the ceramic tradition. A Sparkle Stone garden fireplace or planter also makes a unique handmade gift — for a housewarming, for your parents, or for anyone who loves evenings outdoors.
How we work: the process in our workshop
Every Sparkle Stone piece passes through the same hands in our workshop in Chișinău (Valea Bîcului 9) — from a lump of clay to the object packed for the road:
- The clay. 100% natural clay, no synthetic additives — the same raw material this craft has used for thousands of years.
- Hand-shaping. No industrial molds: each piece is raised and ornamented by hand, which is why no two are identical.
- Slow drying. The piece dries naturally, without shortcuts — the step you cannot skip without cracks appearing later.
- Firing. The kiln turns clay into ceramic — that is where our chimineas get their resistance to the heat of a real fire.
- Finishing and inspection. Glazing or hand-painting where the piece calls for it, then a check of every detail and careful packing.
And new technology, where it helps. When a design calls for a series of identical pieces, we design the model in CAD and 3D-print a master sample, from which the piece can be replicated faithfully at any volume. For sketches and prototypes we also use AI-assisted 3D modeling tools. Our greatest asset is still the handmade work: technology supports it, it never replaces it.
