What is a chiminea?
A chiminea is a clay outdoor fireplace of Mexican origin, shaped like a wide-bellied vase with a vertical chimney. The fire burns protected inside, smoke is directed upward, and the heat builds fast — perfect for your patio, backyard or campfire evenings. How do I order and how long does delivery take?
Order directly on the site and pay online at checkout. Delivery usually takes 3-5 business days. Every chiminea is handcrafted, so no two are exactly alike.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is made online by card, processed securely through Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay also appear at checkout if your device supports them.
Can I return the product? Is there a warranty?
Yes — you have 14 calendar days to return the product in its original packaging. We offer a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Full details are in our Return & Warranty Policy.
How do I cure a clay chiminea (first firing)?
Before regular use, cure the clay: add a ~10 cm sand layer in the base, then build 3-4 small, progressively larger fires, letting the chiminea cool completely between them. Curing hardens the clay and prevents cracks. The full step-by-step guide is in our article “How to Cure a Clay Chiminea”.
Is a chiminea safe on a wooden deck?
Yes, with a safety zone: place the chiminea on concrete slabs, stone paving or brick (a patio hearth), with no roof or branches above the chimney. The wide bowl keeps sparks inside and the protective lid helps control the burn.
